We have experience building custom PLC control systems with diagnostic components to them. But we also new that the systems were not complete. So we setout to develop a system that could help identify more failure points on pulse-jet baghouses.
Our target was to be able to identify failures of not only broken bags, but failed solenoid valves, frozen, cracked or leaking diaphragm valves. So we developed and studied several techniques and methods. A few weeks before the COVID shutdown, we installed a beat system at a client’s facility. But was unable to retrieve meaningful data.
We need to confirm our final models and are still looking for facilities that would allow us to run our system in parallel with the current control system. If this interests you, please contact us.
We set out to develop a system that operates in parallel with your existing baghouse control system. This way it does not interfere with your normal control system, but compliments it with additional information on the pulse-jet filter operations. We use special algorithms to monitor dust, compressed air flow andsolenoid valve firings to detect numeroud types of baghouse failures on a per row basis.
Our preliminary data shows the system can detect the following conditions:
We are looking for a few facilities that are willing to let us install a system and collect data so that we can confirm our models. If this sounds like something that would benefit your filter operations, please contact us.
